Age in 2026
| Situation | Age | Calculation |
|---|---|---|
| Birthday already passed | 66 | 2026 β 1960 |
| Birthday still ahead | 65 | 2026 β 1960 β 1 |
Your age only becomes exact once the birthday is known, which is why the calculator above asks for a full date. Korea additionally uses a "year age" (2026 β 1960 = 66) in a few laws such as military service and youth protection, and used a traditional counting age of 67 before the 2023 reform that made international age the default.
π 1960 is the Year of the Rat
In the Chinese zodiac, 1960 is the Year of the Rat. The cycle turns on the lunar new year rather than 1 January, so anyone born in January or early February may belong to the previous sign, the Pig. Check the lunar new year date for 1960 if your birthday falls in that window.
Milestone years

| Turns 21 | 21 | 1981 |
| Turns 30 | 30 | 1990 |
| Turns 65 | 65 | 2025 |
