⚙️ How to Use the 3 Comparison Modes
The Diff Viewer offers 3 granular analysis modes tailored to your needs.
1. Line by Line
Ideal for comparing programming code (JavaScript, Python, HTML, etc.). It renders additions and deletions of the document in block formats based on line breaks. It provides results most similar to Git's diff.
2. Word by Word
Useful for proofreading text documents like long prose, articles, novels, or blog posts. It tracks the addition and deletion of words based on spaces to precisely pinpoint where changes occurred in context.
3. Char by Char
Used to catch extremely minute differences, such as correcting typos, spacing errors, or changed special characters. It highlights even the difference of a single character or symbol.

Q. Is it safe to paste confidential code from our company's internal network?
A. Nothing you paste is sent to a server. All calculations and text comparisons on EVEDAYS are executed solely within your web browser's memory via JavaScript. If you check the network tab, you can verify yourself that no data is transmitted to our servers. It even works perfectly offline as long as you do not refresh the page.
Q. What do the green and red colors mean in the comparison results?
A. The green background (Added) indicates content that was not in the original text but was newly "added" in the modified text. Conversely, text with a red background and strikethrough (Removed) means the content existed in the original but was "deleted" in the modified version. Plain text without any color indicates content that remains identical in both documents.
Q. Is there a limit to the text size?
A. Since there is no server transmission, there is no explicit size limit. However, due to browser rendering limitations, comparing massive files with tens of thousands of lines at once may cause temporary browser freezing. We recommend comparing texts within a few thousand lines.
Q. Can I change the font or line-wrapping style of the result screen?
A. Currently, the comparison result window applies a Monospace font and word-break properties by default to maximize readability for code reviews. Additional theme customization will be supported in future updates.
