Figures are before tax and deductions. Workers contracted for 15 hours or more a week who attend every scheduled day earn a paid weekly holiday, which is why pay jumps between 14 and 15 hours.
Weekly holiday pay = (contracted weekly hours ÷ 40) × 8 × hourly wage (capped at 8 hours)During the first three months of probation on a contract of one year or longer, employers may pay 90% of the minimum (₩9,630 in 2027), except for simple manual jobs such as convenience-store or cleaning work. Overtime, night and holiday premiums do not count toward the minimum; regular monthly bonuses and meal allowances do.
